Debris ExampleAnything put into the sewer that is not intended to be in the sewer can cause a problem. In this example it's hard to tell what type debris this is but it's clearly catching other smaller debris and if not removed at some point could cause a complete blockage. Regardless it is already obstructing the flowage of the water which can have an impact as flows increase.Debris in sewer.jpg
Groundwater Infiltration ExampleThis is an example of groundwater leaking into a sanitary sewer. Groundwater leaks such as this need to be eliminated. During rains the ground becomes saturated and these leaks can cause the sewer to fill up beyond its limit and backup into homes and /or discharge onto the ground.Groundwater Infiltration.jpg
Roots in Sewer ExampleThis is showing how root intrusion in a sewer can cause problems. In this picture there is severe root intrusion entering through a faulty pipe joint. Roots.jpg
Smoke Testing ExampleThis is the machine used to introduce smoke into the sewer. Smoke is blown into the sewer by an attached fan. The smoke is non-toxic and non-staining.Smoke Photo 1.JPG
Smoke Testing ExamplesExample of what can be expected during smoke testing. This is an area that is open to the sanitary sewer that may allow rainwater to inflow into the sanitary sewer system. Smoke Photo 3.JPG

Structural Failure ExampleThis shows severe structural degredation of a sewer pipe. As reference this pipe is supposed to be round but has been deformed by such things as improper installation, unapproved work of some kind above it, age, or any number of other reasons.Structural failure.jpg
